Mondrian, the only South Beach hotel featured on Conde Nast Traveler's Hot List 2009, is offering its Studio rooms for $175 per night, Sun.-Thurs. Dec. 1-24, and $225 per night Sun.-Thurs. Jan 3-27.  Regular rates start at $295 during this time.

This fairy tale-inspired hotel is also including a free room upgrade at check-in (a $50 value), based on availability. Each room has a state-of-the-art kitchen, a plasma TV with TiVo, an iPod docking station and a crystal chandelier rainfall shower head.

Outside, labyrinth-like terraces and "kissing corners" surround the pool. An indoor-outdoor lounge overlooks Biscayne Bay and the downtown Miami skyline.

The resort is about a mile from the ocean, nightlife, shopping and dining of South Beach.  Weekends and last minute dates are also discounted.
